How is it possible to describe in words the complexity of the ocean? How can you, in a sentence or two, explain to a child, teenager or an adult, all the different forces and forms of life that exist in and around the ocean? How can you explain to a child how one aspect of the ocean, our blue bioeconomy, affects the next one?

For us to explain complex things, a picture is of great value. Not only is it often easier to display complex things with a picture, but also, using a picture to explain adds the personal interpretation; each person has hers or his view and interpretation of what is displayed!

It’s good to remember that the air that we breathe, the water we drink, the food we eat, the products that keep us warm, safe, informed, and entertained — all can come from the ocean or are transported by the ocean.
