This report is the 7th deliverable in WP4 and studies the performance of Ecopath with Ecosim (EwE) and Gadget in data-poor cases. The Atlantis model that was constructed for Icelandic waters was used as an operating model and data simulated from the model for data-poor scenarios. The simulated data was fed into EwE and Gadget and their performance tested and compared between scenarios using three performance metrics. The performance of the models in the data-poor cases was also compared to the result in the data-rich case in Deliverable 4.4 (D4.4). This study gives an insight into what can go wrong when data with high uncertainty is used in ecosystem models and when no data on e.g. biomass is available. As expected the models in this study had poorer performance than the models in the data-rich case in D4.4. The results from Gadget seem to suggest that models poor in age data compare quite favorably so long as some age data was present.
